I’ve been going to Taqueria Charley since I was in 6th grade, when they first opened. I will never go to another taco spot or recommend anything other than Taqeuria Charley. They do such a good job with fast pace and getting orders out. I normally just do a call in as the line gets a little long when ordering in person. The people have always been kind and the food is always cooked to perfection. They are not sheisty when it comes to serving and I can tell they cook with love in their food. All workers are very dedicated, I never catch their name as it is so fast pace but EVERY employee there are kind hearted people. Thank goodness for this taqueria to employ good people and provide 5star tacos in my area. Nobody can compete!
Taqueria Charly #2 is one of my favorite spots for Mexican food in Dallas. It's tucked away inside a gas station, but honestly, you get some of the best Mexican food at places like this. They offer a California burrito (a nice touch), the dishes are consistently good, and the service is quick and friendly. A great 24/7 option for a reliable meal!
It was delicious! Reminded me of home (California) the way you guys season your fries is impeccable & the tacos??? chefs kiss ! My husband, love learning about the different bills that they had on display by the counter , my husband, and I will be back for more!
Hot damn this was delicious! Best tacos I've had since, forever?! Will definitely be stopping by for more whenever I'm in the area. So if you're looking for some amazing authentic tacos, I highly recommend it.
Man this place is amazing! Quick service and delicious food. If you are coming home from a trip out of DFW stop by. Located inside of the gas station but pay at the taco counter. Trompo, tripas, and carnitas tacos for me this last go around. I don’t live in Dallas but go out of my way when I’m close! Back again! 12/31/2023 Back again 3/29/25! Got the Big Burrito with Trompo and Chorizo. Huge burrito that took up the whole take out box. Amazing!
Not a single item in this menu will disappoint you!! My personal favorites include Trompo burger, Trompo burrito Trompo fries, chilaquiles, 3 taco plate, . Wish they'd get out of the gas station though and be able to buy my drink from them instead of having to do a deportation transaction for drinks. Item pictured is the Trompo burger
I am excited that I have found this taco shop relatively close to where I work. If you truly like secret food spots that the average person is not going to find, you have to add this spot to your list. That does not mean that it will not be busy, because once you have had their tacos once your will be coming back. Today was my first time and I realized by the time I was done eating that I will be heading back next week. I got two tacos to give them a try. I chose to get a carnitas taco and a barbacoa taco. I took them back to the office, open my container, and tasted the meat by itself. It was amazing! The meat was juicy and flavorful on its own. Once you add the onion and cilantro, drizzle it with a little of their amazing hot sauce and you are in heaven. My only regret is that I did not get a Trompo Taco as well. Something to look forward to next week!
Best Trompo I’ve ever had. Great breakfast in the mornings as well. Friendly crew located in the back of Valero gas station. I come here at least twice a week.
